FERRATA “LE MESULES”     12-07-08

 

Difficoltà : Via ferrata particolarmente difficile
 

Punto di partenza: Passo di Sella, 2240 m

Punto di appoggio: Rif. Passo Sella, 2183 m

Dislivello : Salita: ca. 700 m
Discesa: ca. 700 m
Via Ferrata: ca. 500 m

Tempo di percorrenza : Salita : Passo Sella – Piz Selva, ca. ore 3,30
Discesa: Piz Selva – Piz Gralba – Val Lasties – Passo Sella, ca. ore 4
Via Ferrata: ca. ore 2,30

 

Erano mesi che insieme a Luca si sentiva che nell’aria vi era una ferrata e ora è giunto il momento!!!!
Con un solo giorno a disposizione è d’obbligo alzarsi presto… e alle 5 di mattina siamo già in viaggio con il tempo che non ci conforta (durante la notte precedente ha fatto un temporale tale quasi da dissuadermi di fare la ferrata…)
Ci dirigiamo al Passo Sella, nostro punto di partenza, dove lasciamo la macchina…
Neanche il tempo di sgranchirci (e svegliarci) e siamo già all’attacco della ferrata sotto le imponenti torri del Sella..
La meta prescelta, infatti, è il Piz Selva (2931 m.), seguendo la ferrata più antica delle Dolomiti (1912) della durata (circa 8 ore).
La forte esposizione in parete e la presenza di alcuni camini privi di assicurazioni, offre alla vista scorci spettacolari e ineguagliabili.
La salita si rivela comunque faticosa, e dapprima le corde metalliche ghiacciate, che rendono le nostre mani gonfie e insensibili, e poi l’acqua che scivola lungo alcune pareti rendendole viscide e aumentando di conseguenza la difficoltà in arrampicata, non fanno altro che temprare i nostro fisici scolpiti.. (ahh! ahhh!!!)

Dopo tutto, a ferrata ultimata posso dire che a parte il pezzo della scaletta “aerea” dove per via dell’esposizione mi sono venuti per un attimo i “sudorini” il percorso si snoda in modo articolato e ben protetto e per apprezzare a pieno questa via Ferrata sarebbe meglio avere alcuni fondamentali di arrampicata.

E’ il ritorno è lunghissimo per la monotonia del sentiero, per la prima parte il sentiero è tutto in cresta e
sempre in piano con alcuni piccoli sali scendi si ha una bella visuale tutt’attorno (nel nostro caso nebbia ovunque e in vetta abbiamo preso pure la grandine)poi si scende abbastanza ripidamente sempre su sentiero (dove abbiamo visto un animale…. non posso dire cosa sia stato, era lontano e questo è vero, a Luca sembrava un camoscio e a me sinceramente no…)  quello che non ci si aspetta e che si sbuca sulla strada per tornare  al passo sella, 7 tornanti più in basso. (Fatti quasi tutti sotto l’acqua battente seguendo la strada asfaltata, solo fino a quando mancavano due tornanti e mezzo…… )
